I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK!! It was written and illustrated so well. The book’s purpose was to be an empowering tool for our little brown skin girls however after reading this book, it also nurtured the little dark-skinned girl in me that was teased by other brown skin children because of my dark skin complexion. Brown Skin Girl is a book I wished I had as a little girl and mother. But now my granddaughter has her copy and as I spread the word to please buy this book, my friends that are social workers, mothers, and grandmothers are excited to purchase to give to their children as well as children in foster care.
